Matthew Martoma gets nine years prison for insider trading

Cases such as this - and they are alarmingly regular - should be _cause celebre_ for Objectivists. Not even the ARI seems to care. When the Atlas Society published the New Individualist the magazine publicized horrors such as these. The bottom line is easy to figure: Everyone is an 'inside trader' believing that they have special information (or insight!) not held by others.

    Personally I think insider trading is poorly defined. So poorly defined it apparently did 't extend to senators and representatives who were briefed on the severity of the financial crisis and liquidated certain holdings. Or a former first lady and secretary of state who was able to take 1k and turn it into 10k in less than 10 months.
