Have the balls to follow your dreams: Dianna David at TEDxRenfrewCollingwood

I've been semi-randomly watching these TEDx talks on Youtube. I decided to share this one, because of what she says at the (roughly) 17 minute mark.
"I used to feel really selfish, for doing something *I* wanted to do."

Maybe there's some other things in the video that can provide fodder for discussion, but that statement immediately made me think of Ayn Rand.

So I continue my viewing, and came across this absolute horror:

Three Myths of Behavior Change - What You Think You Know That You Don't: Jeni Cross at TEDxCSU
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5d8GW6G...

I thought that this video, like most all the others I've viewed so far, was about self-motivation.

But no... it's all about how to influence the behavior.... OF OTHER PEOPLE.
And she talks about it so casually, as if people have the right to manipulate the behavior of other people.
