You can see what’s going to happen in the future by watching 3rd world countries that have their currency pegged to the dollar. SriLanka was first. Haiti just suffered a collapse. Everytime the Fed tries to strengthen the dollar it causes sovereign debt crisis in other economies. Starting from the weakest. The UK and Japan are struggling also because a strong dollar hurts their treasuries.
This is a death spiral that will cause chaos globally. And ultimately will see the dollar dethroned as the reserve currency of choice. After that......the pain will be felt by us. We will no longer be able to just paper over our budgetary shortfalls.
By 2030 things will look very different for us. Start acting like it now.
