A stabilizing brace is not a bump stock. It reminds my of my annual (for 21 years) NRA requalification pistol training for the Alabama Department of Corrections. There's a "bone support" training technique for further stabilizing your two-handed gripped aim by pressing a forearm against a post at the firing range. In real life that post can be substituted by a tree trunk or the corner of a house. If a good guy has no choice but to shoot a bad guy, its best to quickly improve your aim if given the chance. Why risk creating collateral damage with what the military calls "friendly fire?" Selfish standpoint? Shooting the wrong person can get you in a lot of trouble.
Wonder if there could be a "rental service," for both guns and/or any other 'ownership" they want to register. (Presumably) if you don't own it, there is no consequence for not registering it.
That's just a first thought. Of course, once the ploy was figured out, it'd be outlawed anyway.
That's what the Marines standing behind Biden during his recent "Gates of Hell" speech strongly imply. Easier for Biden to have a civil war when his Guatemalan goon squads have all the guns.
