What resource should I quote to defend capitalism when people say we need to regulate business for the safety of employees.

    It depends on what people you're going to say it to. They may not be worth the effort in the first place. If they're dead already, don't try to wake them...it's a waste of your valuable time. I learned that lesson the hard way. :( But good luck...let us know how it goes.

    check out heritage.org's criteria for economic freedom index as well as te fraiser institute.
    every quantifiable statistic points to the higher the economic freedom in a country, the safer the individual and employee and general working standards.
