And they wonder why they have no water...they have no idea how much they use, nor if anyone is doing anything to conserve...California is the poster child for State Stupidity. They are only 4 or 5 years behind the problem.

    In California lack of meters may be the least of our problems . Many of the water mains in older parts of our cities are close to 100 years old and plagued by thinning and carbunkels--ticking time bombs. Recently a 30" diameter main ruptured in Westwood flooding a portion of the UCLA campus including the newly refloored Pauley Pavilion, and losing 9 million gallons of treated water.
