love Charleston. My dad's best friend was a professor at the Citadel, which is why we went to SC initially

That's funny. I thought south because of the trees, and Williamsburg, VA, but further, like SC. I have friends who live in Aiken, SC. They love it!

Got my copy yesterday and I'm watching it right now. I've been waiting for this since I attended the promotional teaser at FreePAC in Dallas last July.

My blu ray is on order. Can't wait to watch. What does everyone think of the new cast. Last was pretty good. I was mainly sad to see Taylor shilling go as dagny. She is great in everything she does. The rest I could take or leave. Thoughts?

Busy work schedule, lots of bad guys doing bad things and needing defense lawyers to defend them, and part of my job is matching them up. Yeah, I know it's a dirty job, but our constitution guarantees it. I've been going home and "lurking" in the Gulch, though, just to remind myself there are intelligent people in the world. It's nice to be missed :)

Lucky you, still waiting for mine. Got an email saying it was delayed because of a Blu-Ray problem, estimated delivery by 2/25.

I just noticed another thing I missed in the theatre. In the Dagny/Danagger meeting, you can see the dollar sign insignia on the cigarettes in the ashtray. You do have to look for them - their color doesn't really pop out.

It's funny camera work was done on this point - deliberately pausing on the ashtray so a freeze-frame would make it obvious what you should notice. I say this because the entire connection with Hugh Akston and the mystery visitor to Danagger isn't covered in the movie. So, semi-pointless...?

No - other direction. The picture of her grandfather is on the wall to her right. She looks to the left.

I thought it was a picture of her Grandfather... up on the wall? (Founder of Taggart Transcontinental).

OK - so I'm watching my shiny d'Anconia copper Blu-Ray edition of AS2 tonight and I'm confused on the scene immediately following Hanks "try pouring a ton of steel without rigid principles" line. Dagny's walking out of the lobby of the TT headquarters and she looks to her left and stares for a bit, through what appear to be black lines on glass. What is she seeing?
Protester grafitti? Or something more significant? John Galt ducking behind something?
