If that bill passes, I want all my money back that I paid out-of-pocket, including for text books I needed to earn my degree.
Why should I be punished for doing the right thing?
This just keeps happening over and over. Savings and loan debacle (Bushes) Mortgage failures. Dot Com Boom and bust. I started my 401K the first day anyone was allowed to. I have lost every dollar of profit in three enormous "corrections". I would have been far better off buying gold and silver and hiding it under my bed.
Wall Street are thieves and liars. Not to mention the founders of the see eye aye.

    Noticing a pattern yet?

Lets see...a wealth transfer from the middle class to upper class kids who cant be bothered to pay for their gender studies degrees....however...one bright spot here....the IRS is hiring 87,000 new agents....I bet you a gender studies degree will actually help you get a job there.

And what about the students that paid their student loans and the families that helped them graduate debt free? Double taxation.

Let's encourage young people, by the millions, to get degrees in Underwater Basket Weaving, and rack up six-figure student loan debt, in the process!
    What could go wrong?

Redistribution of wealth and "evening our the playing field" for equal results. It's a screw job, no doubt. The progs really want "free college", which anybody who's gotten through 1st grade math knows there can't be "free college". We're in a new dark age in the west and Idiocracy is now...

I'm definitely with you on this! Why should skilled working people like welders and auto mechanics or unskilled people like janitors and fruit pickers pay for a lawyer's (eventually politician) degree or worthless degrees in [you name it] studies?

I also STRONGLY suspect this will drive up the cost of education (indoctrination?) and lower the quality. Look at American public schools now, then put that on steroids.

They chose stupid degrees with no viable plan to succeed. They should be held accountable. Unless, for moment, let's blame the Universities for capitalizing on all the student loan money. They coax millions of naïve young people to pay for worthless degrees without care for the results. Let's punish them. All university programs with employment rates under 50% for graduates are eliminated. No more Women's Studies.

Students are allowed to return degrees for a refund just like any defective thing you buy on Amazon. The University must pay everyone back, but the student must give up the degree too, to be let off the hook. That's fair.

Students beware. Get a trade school certificate. Let them stack bricks. Because it pays better, and it's useful too.
