Excerpt:
"Bearing Arms reported several firearm-related companies had their corporate accounts canceled by UPS. Not only that, but some of these companies also have had packages damaged or lost while in transit to customers.

One ammunition distribution company called "The Gun Food" reported out of a recent 18,000 rounds of ammunition shipped with UPS, only 6,000 made it to the end destination. "

I suspect as ammo becomes more difficult to obtain and more expensive this will happen more often. Follow the money. Also, there are those (gangs, cartels, etc.) that don't want any record of obtaining their ammo. There can be many culprits involved in taking ammo from delivery companies.

Interesting. My buddy and I were at the local retailer today and the ammo we wanted was mysteriously absent from the shelves. The manager claimed to not understand it. They had tons of 40 and 9mm. I understand that my rounds are used by military snipers and that may be to blame.

The ammo manufacturers seem to be responding to gun sales and providing lots of plinking ammo for 9mm, while defense and revolver ammo is expensive with no obvious relation to cost of manufacture between them.
There appears to be a ton of AR15 (223/556) in light loads for plinking or match shooting out there, too, but rounds adequate for practical use (e.g.,hunting white tail) are quite expensive (2 to 3 times) by comparison. Getting that small caliber bullet to do more than the original design must be quite a challenge.
