Another example why tax credits don't work

What? Color me shocked. It's almost as if the automakers saw the sweet, sweet gig that universities have been riding since the 80's and asked for a piece of the action.

When will we learn that government subsidies NEVER, EVER work?

"A study from economists at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School discovered that the Inflation Reduction Act would “very slightly increase inflation” "

No one has calculated the effect on inflation if the act wasn't passed and no funding was wasted?
Did the estimates include the planned increases in interest rates on the debt?
Any estimates of what would occur if the con-gress just restricted the banks lending
(via decreasing fractional reserve lending) without any interest rate increase?
Oh, but that wouldn't make the banksters richer at the Peoples' expense...

Someone takes your money at gunpoint? But then declares that if you do certain things, or buy certain things, he will take less of it? But doesn't that come from the power to take your money at gunpoint in the first place? Isn't that similar to a protection racket?
