Taiwan chip giant head warns war would devastate global supply

This would be disastrous the world economy, TSMC has the worlds most sophisticated chip manufacturing process available. Apple and AMD use this process exclusively, I understand that Intel just started to utilize the TSMC process because they can no longer keep up with their level of innovation. Don’t quote me but I think it was Intel’s new graphic chip that is being defused by TSMC.

If TSMC is the monolith, then the monkey waging war on the other monkeys with the bones of their forefathers is Intel. <-- 2001 Space Odyssey reference.

TSMC is the manufacturing arm for many manufactures, they are technology monopoly. With typical fab building times of three years, after site selection and permits, tuning the process at the new plant also takes years. China assuming all of this overnight.

I think TSMC is building a fab in Texas, remember reading about this somewhere… Years out before useful…

no, as in we allowed this to happen to us become, we became soft. We didn't need to ship our manufacturing to countries that use slave labor, etc. We should have remained competitive. We got lazy and fat.

A failure of the West? As in the premises of the Western world are flawed? I want to blame Destructocrats! Even though plenty of Rubepublicans are in on it.

A conflict with China wouldn’t be pretty for us, it’s a sheer numbers game, in the last 18 months our military has been decimated and demoralized. We can’t ask for China to accept our apology for our White Privilege while inserting bullets into their hippocampus.

Great foresight, I agree that we are only being told what we need to hear to invoke the reactions they want. Just I hope that the history book writes this as a failure of the west and not a political misstep.

Would love to see her retired without pay and no security, but who to fill her spot with next?

    Excellent 2001 reference.

My question is (usually) this: Why are we being told? The only things we know are the things government lets us know. They keep far more secrets than the lies they let us hear. Everything is misdirection. It's either to steal, or to decimate the world back to the slide-rule age.

Correction "walking into a personal existential threat." --> walking the US and herself into an existential threat. This can't be by coincidence?

Nancy Pelosi has to be the dumbest puppet in history, she promotes a bill to encourage local chip production (have not read the fine print) and turns around to Taiwan with this… We have many large investments in Taiwan, but TSMC would be the most strategic. Her handler’s ether has something big planned; she is the dumbest puppet on record; walking into a personal existential threat.
