    I resent that characterization. There is much more resemblance between straw men and real men than there is between my essay and JGISSD's characterization of it.

    1. They never should have been paying into it in the first place.

    2. We are going to have to take in the shorts somewhere (and likely multiple places) to pay off the enormous debt that we have racked up over the years.

    So ya it is for our own good. I am 45 and I do not expect to see a dime from Medicare or Social Security. It is the only way I wont pass the debt of mine and my fathers generations on to my kids.
