I usually classify people in ether an honorable trustworthy and hardworking person or the general piece of dog dung. I work in an industry where about 95% of my peers, coworkers and employees fall into the late category. What don’t I understand is why they are so successful at it?

These types are typically the fake it to make it, steal create for others work and sabotage others to get ahead. It’s disheartening to see this behavior so prevalent and rewarded.

Generally, I work with a bunch of liberal people which I typically notice go hand in hand.

Do you notice the same in or about the same proportions?

What spawned this post is a revelation where an asshole co-worker set me up and I fell for it. I’m powerless at fighting this because I want to do a good job, make a difference.

As I type this, I just realized this is the story of Atlas Shrugged, maybe it’s time to shrug?

You have some of my bad traits. My sweet departed X2 (too much Agent Orange) once told me I wasn't 'cunning' enough. His theory was most people spend a lot of time planning their meanness and I don't know how to do that. Thank God! Nicest compliment I ever got. But, it does make you more careful to know this. The real thing is 'they' are stupid. You can outthink them and that's what I excel at. Real fun thing. Rewarding when you do it right.

I wouldn't classify them as bad traits... Just unprepared for the deepness of their depravity.

Thier actions force us to withhold which is exactly what they want - allows them to manipulate. I've lost my faith that this type will ever be exposed because they are all the same.

In one of my jobs, a man took credit for my work. He thought he was my boss. I resigned my job and sued my employer for sexual discrimination and harrassment. Got a lot of money and satisfaction. He got 'redlined', the District office got closed and they even tried to get me to stay. I didn't think so! Found out 2 other 'ladies' in different district offices had the same thing happen to them. But they just quietly left. I made a lot of noise.
