I just copied it and posted. I usually state that I don't fake check these memes. Q uite frankly I didn't have a clue who Pikachu was. I then looked for a conspiracy about a cartoon character lol. Ash's dad is pikachu was what I found. The reality is today someone is always trying to mentally manipulate the audience.
"Safe" activities are to earn merit badges or play catch ,baseball, golf, frisbee, tennis, hunt, fish,
build models you know all the stuff you did and some.

I saw the whole pokemon craze and my kids watched some of the shows, but if there is more to this, I would like to know. I personally thought the whole "pocket monster" craze to be like any one of the collectable trading card game crazes: Yugi-Oh, Magic: The Gathering, Tamagachi, etc. were just a different version of baseball trading cards - just that you could play with them if you wanted.

Brings to mind a true story. My cousin, now deceased (RIP, Cuz!) years ago had a black Lab named Orion. My cousin was a duck hunter and Orion was trained to retrieve the bounty. My cousin kept a real duck, feathers and all, in the freezer and he would take it out and throw it around various places in the woods and water and field to keep Orion sharp at his task. As you may imagine over time that duck got rather "gamey" so one morning he took it out in the woods, without Orion, to bury it and put a log over the spot. Later in the day the ladies decided to make some grape jam so us guys went out into the vineyard to pick some nice concord grapes and Orion came out with us. After a time my cousin asked me, "Have you seen Orion?" and I hadn't seen him for a while. My cousin whistled for Orion and usually the dog would show up fairly quickly, but no Orion. Cuz whistled again. No Orion. About 20 or 30 minutes later you could see Orion coming up the row. He had gone into the woods and sniffed out and dug up that gamey duck and delivered it to my cousin. We all had a good laugh.

I'm trying to figure this 'generation'. I just called my grandson and told him I'd had his mother admitted to the hospital (she has cancer and they are going to remove her kidney, now they are worried about her liver.) He acted like I said, 'Hi cowboy, how are you?' My BFF has been in the hospital since May 15, same diagnosis and her daughter hasn't even been to see her! When my mother was sick, I was with her every minute I could be. I moved her into my home as long as I could, then after her surgery she needed IV's and I put her in a nursing home five minutes from my home! I don't understand this attitude. It's like I'd said, 'She has the measles.' N
