"I'm from the government and I'm here to help." (Just ignore that I caused this problem in the first place.)

There are a limited number of ways to get government to stop buying votes with my money. The first uses the First Amendment's right to redress our government. The second involves "peaceful protest", but only if you are in support of a leftist cause and not if you were in DC on 1/6/2021. The third involves what truly would be an insurrection, unlike what is called an insurrection by those in DC. The fourth is to "go Galt". The fourth likely is the only remaining option.

Take on big debt, then gov cancels it.

Yes it enables the borrower to avoid the consequences of ignoring reality -- until so many start to borrow big that gov either has to stop it, or, gov has to stop.

Instead I've moved to a state where I keep 30% more of my gross pay. Working half as much and doing fine... I used to bristle at the Biden checks when I'd get them. They take your money then drizzle it back to you as part of a massive redistribution and say, "There. I fixed it!"

+1 California's reality is creeping up quickly. It's only a matter of time before "Escape from LA" becomes reality rather than dystopian fantasy.

Something very similar to that came to my mind when I read this... Freaking idiots all of them. Can't believe my cousin (used to work for a State Rep down there) hasn't moved up here yet. I keep telling him but I sometimes wonder if he has Dagny in his veins...

Neither this California government giveaway nor Biden's attempt to eradicate college debt can be allowed to happen. Both of these would allow Democrats to violate one of Ayn Rand's greatest quotes.

You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. - Ayn Rand
