Chinese agents pose as fake Green protesters to try to stop Rare Earths mining in the West?

Excerpt:
"A report released Tuesday by Mandiant says a pro-China group named Dragonbridge has been using “nuanced tactics” against firms like Lynas, Appia, and USA Rare Earth. These included posing as local residents online to drum up protests against the construction of a Lynas rare-earths processing facility in Texas. The facility’s development is the result of an agreement signed between the US Department of Defense and Lynas to boost America’s rare-earths domestic industry.

“The accounts claimed that by placing the Lynas plant in Texas, the Biden administration would expose the area to irreversible environmental damage and the local population to radioactive contamination and adverse health effects such as cancer risks, gene mutation, and deformities in newborns,” the Mandiant report said.

Elaborating on its claims, Mandiant also shared several screenshots of purported sockpuppet Twitter and Facebook accounts dating from April and May that called for a boycott and shared concerns over Lynas and its rare-earths plant. Mandiant also found other “newly identified” social media accounts that were criticising Appia and USA Rare Earth, and which posted memes or links that were “known Dragonbridge content”.

“Many of the usernames consisted of English-language names followed by seemingly random numeric strings.”"

Don't put anything past Communist China. They already own our "free trade," their Deep State cronies with a multitude of them holding government offices here, also lots and lots of property here and even Hollywood.
China has even gotten away with poisoning the entire world with a bio-weapon.

BS! We already mine Uranium in Texas. What's their problem? They need to go back to China and study up a bit! These people should understand Texas is the chemical capital of the world! It it's out there, we've got it!

Very interesting. I am one of the few people who know how to use rare earth metals.

I've seen some rather loose use of the term "rare earth" which I've always thought meant the Lanthanides. Somehow Lithium gets shoved in there by people commenting on batteries, China, and mining. Not here, though. Gulchers are wise about science, ain't we?

Lithium is easy to find in Nevada.
Rare earth metals are commonly used in addition to lithium in these batteries. China has been "colonizing" the countries who have these rare earth metals. Of course, China does have more of the rare earth minerals than any other country.

Places where lithium mines are active experience a drastic reduction in arable farmland, therefore reducing the supply of food available. In China, dead fish and livestock were found downstream of lithium mines; so bad was the pollution that the Chinese stopped their mining operations. Similar events occurred in Tibet, Chile and Australia. In Tibet, hydrochloric acid was found in the water supply.

Effectively, if we were to give the proverbial “keys of the kingdom” to the climate alarmist movement, their radical transformation toward green “sustainability” would actually instigate an environmental apocalypse.

Many who are indoctrinated into the climate change narrative are unaware of the damage their ideology would unleash on the planet. They are simply invoking the hypocrisy of their founder Maurice Strong, but perhaps on a scale even he could never have imagined.

It appears the ReichsWEF is very aware of the dire situation we face regarding lithium mining and pollution.
