There is a shortage of formula for Babies. Is there a shortage of Breasts?

Why are babies sucking on rubber nipples filled with highly processed cow's milk when there's a Mom with Real Food in a Real Boob?

I can't put any photos or links I'll get banned :D

I won't comment on the pros and cons of breastfeeding, but are people really going to let their babies starve to death, because manufactured infant formulas don't exist?

    Work the problem, people...

Yes, it's definitely a "use it or lose it" proposition, literally. When my baby was 8 months old, I had to have surgery, and in those days, surgery means "hospital for one full week." He got weaned very quickly, and I was never able to go back to nursing him again.

No need, Goats milk has been proven to be an excellent replacement, very low in harmful fats and clumpy enzymes. There is a herd of pediatricians who strongly reccomend it. Although, with horses, you actually need the first 24 hours of the mothers milk to get the colostrum that is in it, which is critical to the immune system of the child. If a horse cannot nurse in the first 24 hours, you need to get colostrum from the vet, so I would think logically, it is a mammalian thing, and true for most species.

"There is nothing sadder than a sleep-deprived mother with painful nipples and a crying hungry baby at 3am" Oh, definitely that was me for the entire first 8 weeks, except that baby was crying AND SO WAS I, literally. I cannot begin to describe the pain, but finally - about the time I was ready to give up, it got better very quickly. Thank GOODNESS!!

Had a woman post on Telegram that if you need formula, go to Amazon, switch it to Canada, and they have boatloads. Only the U.S. has a FDA shutting down plants for 6 months, and creating an artificial shortage. But then, our current communist brandon regime seems to specialize in creating artificial shortages and problems.

Back 50 years ago, I was a La Leche Leage "leader," meaning, I was one sent out to help when a new mom was having trouble breastfeeding. I really didn't last very long, though, because the LLL unofficial and unspoken mantra was "There are NO excuses." Well, being that I live in the real world, I simply was not willing to shame and berate women for having serious problems with this very natural process... so I was gone in about a year. But, given that life holds many things more than just breastfeeding, yes, sometimes the problems were real and could not be overcome reasonably. Not to mention that if the process doesn't start very soon after birth (meaning a few days), it's basically unrecoverable.

There was testing showing covid vaccine can be passed to children through breast milk, so Maybe we do need to switch to Goat milk for a while, till the vaccinated all finish getting boosted till their immune systems fail.

If the 90 % of moms that can breast feed would, then there would be plenty of formula for the 10 % that can't.

My ex had the same problem. She fed formula to three kids now adults taller than me. Me dino is now exactly 6-feet-tall, having shrunk an inch due to age.

I wasnt referring ONLY to lack of baby formula, but lots of diseases medicine didnt know how to treat, or couldnt treat . Infant mortality was high and with the advances of modern medicine do we know how to reduce it.
You are emotionally driven, I can tell. How stupid you are for refusing to accept the reality of life in the past.

If you investigate historical records, you will see infant mortality from a lot of causes and lack of available treatments was much higher than now.

I think that in earlier times, infant mortality was a lot higher than it is now. When the baby didnt get the right stuff, it just died

I had to stop nursing because I produced so much that the baby couldn't handle the pressurized jet. A breast pump only made me produce more. I never knew how huge nursing breasts could get, and it HURT! Hurt is a very mild word for what I experienced, and I wished I could have done it like my mother, who had to go to formula after her last childbirth--triplets. Nine kids total. Mom, I salute you!

Don't women dry up after the baby is weaned? I recall that 50 years ago there was outrage over this against a company that had been marketing baby formula in poor countries, causing mothers to dry up before they realized they couldn't afford to continue buying it.

when we have gotten way too reliant on the benefits of what our society produces, we forget that everyone has gotten too used to "just in time" to cut down inventories. Kind of a bad idea , as we are seeing right now.

Some end-user inventory is not a bad thing in terms of food, medicines, clothes, transportation, even cell phones.

That has really puzzled me: other than being used as "guy magnets", boobs DO have another function, that of nourishing infants.
But, I guess that's just me, not being "woke", or something.

    And breast pumps work!
    But this concept requires COMMUNITY...
(Something Such Leaders as Obummer spent years destroying FIRST... In case you didn't see how the plan works...)
