    Buyer beware! If a person assumes the risk of an investment, they do so at their own discretion. The investment firm is not liable for the losses potentially incurred by the investor. They assume the risk, and the possible reward. There is no guarantee that they will make any money! Or not lose money either! This is so freakishly insane, that I'm sure it's going to happen.

    I heard about this, if my understanding is correct the Government is essentially using Standard and Poor's as a scape goat for Fannie and Freddie. I would say that this is insane, yet as they have proved time and again they can rely on the willful ignorance of most of the population and get away with it... for now.
