I applaud this man's words and his reasoning resonates. The violence in Newtown, CT (where he lives) is frightening, but the prevailing response seems to miss the forces at work. The forces that precipitated the violence were not the owners of guns. No one who is vocal about the second amendment--that is, engaging in public discourse about our Constitution and the rights and responsibilities of citizens--was responsible for the violence that threatened this man's young daughter, Victoria. It was an individual, a person, who chose to act violently and without provocation, committing a criminal act. What am I missing?

One of the most rational voices I've heard thus far. I love that he read the exact words of the CT constitution. No refuting the facts. They're in black and white.
