Elon Musk = Hank Reardon?
Your thoughts? This time it's not steel. It's freedom of speech. The steel equivalent, IMO, was Big Pharma and, for the most part, the Science Institute won that one. "When their fat little comforts are threatened you can be sure that science is the first thing men will abandon." That was about 15 years ago, starting with Simpsonwood and continuing on today. Watch how the establishment goes after Musk, now... Already similar, IMO.

When they reject his offer, it will become clear to everyone that the purpose of Twitter is not to make money for it’s shareholders. It’s actual purpose is to propagandize the electorate.
The cherry on top is that the other shareholders will most likely sue the board for rejecting an above market offer. Destroying what WE all know is a Deep State propaganda outlet from within.
The other possibility.....Schwab gives Musk a seat at the table.
Much like Trump did with media bias, Musk will drag the demons out into the light, where everyone with eyes can see.
Doesn’t mean it’s fixed. But, now we know.
And knowing is half the battle. (Couldn’t resist)
Musk: fully autonomous cars compete with auto shut-off switches (pending legislation?) and GPS built right in, further the potential ability to remotely auto control a vehicle. The rollout of a global satellite communications network. The vacuous doge-coin (digital currency) spikes he likes to prompt.
As for Elon Musk, he has success at multiple companies already, granted with some government help. Now that he doesn't need the government help, it appears that he has weaned himself off of such help, and I am sure that the taxes that he has paid or will pay will way more than offset what amounts now to a government loan.
Any comparison of EM to HR is premature. EM has a lot to prove given his past,
just as Trump did before he was elected.
Unlike HR, EM has not succeeded on his own and has taken loot at every opportunity.
I'd love to see EM as a hero of individual liberty, but so far its just hopium, imo.
I wish you every success in your own efforts, JB.
As a business starter now, I am really fighting this battle.
In Atlas Shrugged, the end appeared inevitable to most of us, but when you put yourself in their situation, it doesn't seem quite so inevitable, primarily because you think that you can insulate yourself from the effects of others around you.
The Gulch would be the best investment he could ever make, assuming the investment includes a method to defend it from looters.
If you are not a producer, Commifornia is less expensive, but still tyrannical. Even Eloot left there.
Hank had integrity and ethics. Eloot is a type of inexpensive sandal.

Reminds me of a theory I heard about a year or two ago: America will eventually split along these lines with some states going for Liberty and some going against. What very few realize is that the Great California Exodus is just that! I was part of it, as are a lot of my friends. We're all choosing sides and voting with our feet. And...the media is now silent. They occasionally say it's "the high cost of housing", while failing to point out that most of California is as cheap or cheaper than all those states people are fleeing to. I spent double here than I ever spent in California. It was worth it...
Foundation: One subtle tweak to the mind of the Mule.
That Hideous Strength: C.S. Lewis, Merlin confronts Hell
Dune: Muad'Dib cutting the "spice" off at it's source.
Lord of The Rings: One ring to rule them all (language)
Just a few for starters.
To me, one of the more interesting parts of all the publicity around Musk/Twitter, is the arguments put forth against him. It really pulls the mask off their agenda to control thought.
