US officials admit they're literally just lying to the public about Russia

After the 2020 election theft, lying from the federal government should be expected, not surprising.

"So why are they telling us all this now? Is the US government not worried that it will lose the trust of the public by admitting that it is continuously lying about its most high-profile international conflict? And if this is an “information war” designed to “get inside Putin’s head” as NBC’s sources claim, wouldn’t openly reporting it through the mainstream press completely defeat the purpose?
Well, the answer to those questions is where it gets really creepy. I welcome everyone’s feedback and theories on the matter, but as near as I can figure the only reason the US government would release this story to the public is because they want the general public to know about it. And the only plausible reason I can think of that they would want the public to know about it is that they are confident the public will consent to being lied to."
But looking deeper, I suspect they plan to make the media the scapegoat. I can see it now "Peter, we never said this was true, just that this was what we were being told - and we don't control how the media reports things as you know." The media is starting to turn a bit and we know how these ideologues react to such things - blaming the person turning away.
We've already seen the administration blaming the media for things they said and wanted the media to push, making essentially the claim I imagined above.

Then the news comes out that the Pentagon spends $200 million on biolabs in Ukraine and Putin is bad. Next Hunter Biden’s Rosemount Seneca partners works with bio company and gets darpa to help fund them for work in Ukraine. Wow from no biolabs to that.
