Thanks that nice to hear, having good neighbors. It's not all rotten out there. There's plenty of good people. One distinction I'd make...over the years I've needed a jump start for my car. I have my own cables so I'll ask anyone I can. The Pious Prius owners (That is how they came up with the car name)? No way they will not help, they're too busy going somewhere. A rusty pickup truck with a scruffy man with with wife and kids in a hurry to go shopping? He helped me. It took him 1 minute. He just grabbed the cables and took over. Trump sticker on his rusty bumper. Good citizen award for that guy.

Could well be that Flip is Fred's great, great, great,.... great, great (had to re-think and add two "greats") grandma, cousin.
I get dog and leap years confused sometimes.

Despite all the potential and actual problems with censorship and control of narratives there is still a lot of "interesting" stuff on the web.
I equate, from my pseudo-isolation, the corollary of the last two years can be anecdotally summed up by Ray Stevens. Mississippi Squirrel Revival

My grandmother had a beagle that would, on occasion, bring home a "catch" of the day.
One day while most of the family was at the house, Flip must have felt overlooked or unattended. The baying on the patio outside the lower level of house brought everyone to attention. She had a baby bunny cornered in an alcove area. After we saw the "capture", Flip just walked away and let the rabbit go. Damned spoiled.

One of my neighbors, a Private Detective, jumped in his truck and went searching for Fred also. I waved him down and told him Fred brought me a possum but he killed it and dropped it in the middle of the sidewalk. I don't think Fred understands you can't pick up a small animal with your teeth and carry it home to play with.

Our Home Town Happenings is on the cell phone of all who want it and it's sort of a Lost and Found. For people and animal friends.

I read all the crap about people shooting people for no reason so I had to share this with you guys for a 'feel good moment'. Yesterday I accidentally left the gate on the patio open and old Fred saw this as an 'Escape Opportunity'. Needless to say, I searched a 10 block area, on foot, and no Fred. I was feeling very sad thinking this time he might get run over by a car. A nice lady stopped smack in the middle of the street and yelled, "Dear are you okay?" I responded, 'Yes, my dog Fred took a road trip.' I said he has ID and ohone number on his tags but he loves to visit new places.' She said 'Describe him'. I did and she said, "Okay, I'll put it on 'Home Town Happenings and I'll be looking for him." Fortunately I got home and since I'd left the gate and the door open, dear Fred was sitting in the middle of my bed looking innocent. I told him I'd found the dead possum he left me on the sidewalk and he didn't even blink.
