Eccentric Billionaire Accomplishes More For Free Speech In One Afternoon Than Republicans Have In Decades

Yeah, a LEGAL immigrant entrepreneur from South Africa has accomplished more for free speech than Republicans have in decades of controlling the government, wielding Federal power and spending trillions of dollars.
"Wow! This Twitter deal is such a huge step forward for freedom of expression!" one Republican senator enthusiastically exclaimed shortly before asking to be quoted off the record. "Imagine if other conservative wealthy people did that instead of funding our reelection campaigns! Wuh-wuh-wait! Scratch that! Are you recording this?"
To save face, Republican congressmen, women, transsexuals and wimpy bondage gimps are forming a committee to explore why they didn't think of that and shall you betcha form a strong resolution saying free speech is good.
A note from a copycat dino~~Me dino ceased and desisted donating (throwing good money after bad) to the GOP for seeing too many weak as tater water RINOs bend over and present their assets across the aisle during the first half of Comrade Obama's Reign Of Error.

Well, I am a bit of a Musk Fan. I have 2 "nephews" (Friends sons) who work for him. One in SpaceX, and one loads the AI for the Automatic driving at Tesla.

Overall, I think he might be a force for good. But I don't want to get my hopes up.

And the FIREWORKS are the best part:

"OMG, What if he blocks a candidate from his site?"

Yeah, like Laura Loomer, Trump, and SO MANY Conservatives have been blocked. Even blocked by PHONE companies from sending TEXT messages!

We are deep in the Info War!

And the popcorn is popping fast...

BTW, find a RazorFist RANT and really enjoy!

Lousy situation, but true. I had a boss in Mississippi who said the only difference between politicians and whores was that you got what you paid for from the whore.

For what he spent on Twitter he could have bought congress, the executive branch and the Supreme Court.

What was weird about this was that I told someone not long ago that even though Musk is not native born, with his wealth he could gain control of social media and influence other major policy decisions to become a de facto President even without having to be elected.

True, but you don't have to be a Musk fan to sit back with your popcorn and watch the fireworks.

We're slowly getting to be like England.
They haven't had a true conservative in government in decades, when the Tories purged all the conservatives.
    Nowadays, it's Lenin-ites vs. Trotsky-ites.

Me dino is not completely sold on Musk either.
I find myself hopefully crossing my fingers over a flicking light unexpectedly spotted in a dark swamp of sewage.
Will that light stay on or go dead like the rest of that Marxist crud?

    https://burningbright.substack.com/p/...

Excerpt: If we refer to Just Human’s oft-quoted Ayn Rand theorem regarding contradictions, it seems less than likely for BOTH of the following scenarios to be true:

    1) Trump and his Combatant Commanders are in direct or indirect control of the U.S. military apparatus and …

    2) The incursion of Vladimir Putin and Russian armed forces into Ukraine and the resulting destabilization (or stabilization, depending on where you’re sitting,) of Eastern Europe—and by extension—the world is a dangerous thing for the United States, its interests or its citizenry.

If we assume the first statement is false, then Devolution is not active, and we’re left with FAR more questions and –more importantly—contradictions over the last year and change than I can delve into here. We also have to pretend that Trump’s exhaustive list of executive orders were not—and never will be—actioned in any meaningful way.

If we assume the second statement is true, and that Putin’s current actions present a clear and present danger to the United States, its interests and its citizenry, what realistic—and peaceful—option does a returning Trump have to deal with the ongoing series of crisis? Surely World War 3 or any direct aggression against the only other true military superpower on this planet (don’t get me started on the military Paper Tiger that is China when the Siberian Tiger is on the board,) would not be good for most Deplorables and their families.

How do we reconcile the Devolution theory with the ongoing Ukraine situation, then, other than to say that they are either NOT in conflict with one another, or that they are directly complementary.

In my view, the most reasonable and non-contradictory interpretation of the above statements is that Trump is ‘in control,’ as it were, and that Putin is either directly working with him—but never for him—or Putin’s likeliest path has been mapped out by U.S. patriots and is either directly beneficial to their long-term agenda or is in no direct conflict with it. That, and said path is highly destructive to Trump and Putin’s and therefore the United States’ and Russia’s shared enemies.

Do NOT Forget that Elon really leveraged tax handouts to build Tesla.
Do NOT Forget that Elon has 2 children with some left-wing Nut Job Performer who sings about POWER, POWER,POWER.

Do NOT Forget that Elon did NOT do this in 2019 when it would have helped.
Do NOT Forget that Elon is all in on Universal Basic Income.

And consider this: He is doing this, just as Truth Social is starting to launch. Hmmm, like it could take the WIND out of the sails of a true competitor.

Do NOT Forget Pictures with Epstein and Ghislain Maxwell (who he claimed he never met).

So, while I TOO thought this was amazing. If it was REAL... It would be blocked. But it either feels like Conservatives shooting themselves in the foot (killing Truth Social), or at the least giving us a head-fake...

Wish all three would go poof and disappear for the good of the Republic.
Heck, there's plenty more who could go poof to be of good service to We The People.

I am encouraged, but not completely sold. Musk made a fortune on subsidies and understanding altruistic tendencies. This is really not any different.

Would love to see a left-ist proposed change to Sec 230 to address what they want. There is virtually no way to dress up that lie, and people will see it for what it is, even dumb-o-crats.

Republicans should shut up about it, and not try to upstage. If they wanted to do anything, wait until November, and then propose my Section 230 change (previously submitted to this austere body):
Business must identify if they will censor or not. If they choose to censor, they receive no protections under this article. If they choose free speech on their platform, they should and will receive indemnification from the content. Censoring clearly illegal content, such as copyright infringement, is separate; however, a clearly legal basis must be provided to retain indemnification, and of course, under no conditions may the Government provide guidance for censorship for public interest.

One thing about all politicians, They don't fix anything until they first break it. Those idiots have been fixing the USPS and Social Security for as long as I have been alive and both remain broken.

THEY give us our heroes. And our villains. Musk is just one more actor in a sick sad drama. Do I like this particular episode? Sure! But, overall this show sucks.

    I can't emphasize this enough.

There are no hero's coming to the rescue. We've looked to people time and again and each time they have proven duplicitous and dishonest. Musk is no exception to that truism. He has more than a few questionable stances (trans-humanism for one) that shouldn't be glossed over because of a manufactured ravenous and desperate need for hope. Fact is each of us must be our own hero and do what we need to in order to take care of ourselves and effect change to preserve what's left of our heritage, salvaging natural rights from our offspring despite themselves. Trusting others to do whats right or assuming that others think as we do when they spew their duplicitous rhetoric is what got us where we are.

A broke clock (non-digital) is right twice a day. Aside from ourselves, we have one Hero we can trust and rely on.

    My two bits.
