Interesting discussion about the way people think of selfishness and the different ways it can be applied, and misapplied. Seems to also say that being truly selfish, and not just self-centered, requires looking at the overall social picture.

    One thing I will fight to the death to make clear is that being selfish doesn't mean that we don't give to charity or help others. It merely means that we give out of our own free will and without a sense/existence of an obligation to do so.

    I'll watch the video in a bit, but I always say that traditional selfish actually means "self-centered"--only seeing the world from your own perspective and context and never taking anyone else into account.
