Where Does the Carbon Dioxide Really Come From?
Professor Ian Plimer could not have said it better!
If you've read his book, you will agree this is a good summary.

PLIMER: "Okay, here's the bombshell. The volcanic eruption in Iceland. Since its first spewing of volcanic ash has, in just FOUR DAYS, NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions on our planet - all of you.

Of course, you know about this evil carbon dioxide that we are trying to suppress - it’s that vital chemical compound that every plant requires to live and grow, and to synthesize into oxygen for us humans and all animal life.

I know.... it's very disheartening to realize that all of the carbon emission savings you have accomplished while suffering the inconvenience and expense of driving Prius hybrids, buying fabric grocery bags, sitting up till midnight to finish your kids "The Green Revolution" science project, throwing out all of your non-green cleaning supplies, using only two squares of toilet paper, putting a brick in your toilet tank reservoir, selling your SUV and speedboat, vacationing at home instead of abroad, nearly getting hit every day on your bicycle, replacing all of your 50 cent light bulbs with $10.00 light bulbs..... well, all of those things you have done have all gone down the tubes in just four days.

The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth's atmosphere in just four days - yes, FOUR DAYS - by that volcano in Iceland has totally erased every single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon. And there are around 200 active volcanoes on the planet spewing out this crud at any one time - EVERY DAY.

I don't really want to rain on your parade too much, but I should mention that when the volcano Mt. Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it spewed out more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than the entire human race had emitted in all its years on earth.

Yes, folks, Mt. Pinatubo was active for over one year - think about it.

Of course, I shouldn't spoil this 'touchy-feely tree-hugging' moment and mention the effect of solar and cosmic activity and the well-recognized 800-year global heating and cooling cycle, which keeps happening despite our completely insignificant efforts to affect climate change.

And I do wish I had a silver lining to this volcanic ash cloud, but the fact of the matter is that the bush fire season across the western USA and Australia this year alone will negate your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two to three years. And it happens every year. Just remember that your government just tried to impose a whopping carbon tax on you, on the basis of the bogus 'human-caused' climate-change scenario.

Hey, isn't it interesting how they don't mention 'Global Warming' anymore, but just "Climate Change" - you know why?

It's because the planet has COOLED by 0.7 degrees in the past century, and these global warming bull**** artists got caught with their pants down. And, just keep in mind that you might yet be stuck with an Emissions Trading Scheme - that whopping new tax - imposed on you that will achieve absolutely nothing except make you poorer.

What I've never seen discussed anywhere is what is the source of volcanic CO2? Let me guess by suggesting plate tectonics is a giant and very slow recycling system of the earth's crust and is entirely natural. Therefore, a great deal of that stuff that was on or near surface millions of years ago is going through a big burn and remelt deep down and all that resulting gas and ash has to go somewhere. Imagine mountains of coal and oceans of oil getting recycled. Whatever man is doing looks pretty insignificant compared to that.

questions for the followers of the human caused climate change religion

how old are the glaciers said to be melting, millions of years??
how old is the Earth??, 4.5 Billion years old

so what was there before the "melting" glaciers?
could there be cycles of glaciers forming and melting, long before human kind ever showed up??
why is this cycle the work of Man and not nature??

in the Sahara Desert are signs of people having lived in it, 4,000 to 5,000+ years ago
cave painting show people and animals that can no longer live in the desert
the climate changed, the desert formed, people moved to the Nile Valley and started the Egyptian civilization that created the Pyramids (along with other great structures
again this happened BEFORE our tech civilization
it is likely that over the past thousands of years the Sahara has gone from lush vegetation to desert over and over, the cycle repeating

i won't mention the cycles of Ice Ages and melts, perhaps were are in between two Ice Ages now...
    likely so

    and on TV
there is a show about bringing back animals from the last Ice Age
    the ground there is melting
the fact is that those animals COULD NOT LIVE THERE if the land was ALWAYS frozen
at some point that land was ice free, allowing animals to live and thrive there
as it got colder, the animals changed and finally died off

you followers of the Global Warming religion think history began only a few hundred years ago

Other important questions to ask are:

When was the first viable thermometer invented? 1714 and such tech was not available world wide for a least a couple of centuries later. Therefore, any graphs or statements declaring planetary mean temperature within a degree or two before that are pure "pootaa" (pulled out of the ass assumption).

When was the first time man was able to accurately measure planetary mean temperature within a degree or two? NOT YET! Even satellite imagery can't accurately pull off that feat. As close as it seems to get, there is still the pootaa factor to actually give a value.

I know I have posted this observation before, but it is very real and illustrative of this whole issue. Back in the 1970's, I earned a BS in Geology from the University of New Hampshire. Before the stupidity of wokeness had so severely infested and infected the institutions of higher learning. I am now embarrassed by the absurdities emanating from my Alma Mater. Unfortunately, the same now applies to where I soon after earned an MS in Geology: Northern Arizona University.
In 1976, in the fall semester, we took a geomorphology field trip by hiking up and over Mt Washington in the Presidential Range in New Hampshire. The glacial and peri-glacial features observed would and should make anyone pause and reflect on this whole issue. You can sit on an outcrop at the top that is deeply grooved with glacial striations. This is from the continental glacier grinding over the top of that mountain that is over 6500 ft in elevation and that began receding only some 13,000 - 18,000 years ago, marking the end of one of the cyclic ice ages. As you sit there you can look out over the surrounding countryside that is nearly a mile lower in elevation. And begin to contemplate an ice sheet at least that thick covering almost all of New England. 13,000 years is less than a blink of an eye in geologic time. That is climate change!
The propaganda emanating from UNH these days is all about being carbon neutral and climate change and the handwringing over the sea level rising a centimeter. And how CO2 is a pollutant. They literally cannot differentiate an element from a compound!

I'm just clearing out my email and found this Gulch post. You can add the Tonga volcano eruptive blast to adding ash and volcanic gases into the atmosphere. This eruption might continue for some time according to articles on the internet. Of course, the climate change people seem to ignore these natural events adding CO2 and other gases into the atmosphere.
