BOYCOTT Hershey: Hershey Fires Unvaccinated Employees and Tries To Buy Their Consent

Excerpt:
"The Hershey Company has begun firing office workers who did not get vaccinated against COVID-19. On the way out the door, Hershey is asking employees to sign a nine-page confidentiality and release agreement that would remove their rights to sue the company or talk about their experience.

Although their signature comes with a “special separation payment,” many have not signed the agreement and won’t get the money. Employees say the payment was determined by an algorithm and for some, amounted to just over two months’ pay.
...
The separation agreement Hershey gave employees prohibits those who sign it from disclosing the existence, terms, and conditions of the agreement, including the details of their separation from employment. The agreement contains a broad non-disparagement clause and it also releases Hershey from liability for all legally waivable claims."

I am disgusted by this! Fire the office personnel but allow the factory workers to decide! Bye Bye favorite candy bar! I hope all the people fired do NOT sign that form and file a class action suit against Hershey's.

So many companies to boycott. And the irony is I never really needed their products to begin with. This will actually save me money.

Agreed. Hershey bought my favorite Heath 25 years ago , cheapened the product and destroyed the flavor.
I used to take bags of Heath miniatures when I traveled overseas to share with local people.
It was a great way to introduce people to American products and culture (even though its 'english' toffee. ;^)
      Hershey ruined that.

This is an individual company choice, that should be met with appropriate response by customers.

If we had a conservative George Soros, he would pay the severance for NOT signing the agreement, and then open a chocolate factory to compete with Hershey right next door.

And people wonder why employees are quitting left and right. They are tired of giving up valuable time in their lives to deal with stuff like this.

the great reset is an opportunity for people to make the changes in their lives that they wanted to make, but didnt make due to inertia

I'd sign it, take the money, and sue anyway. Hershey's theory of getting someone to sign such a statement would not hold up in court anyway, at least not in a conservative court.

Yes, it is time to boycott Hershet. We have supported them and now that we know they are commie backers, we will no longer do business with them

Hershey is doing its best to limit its liability. In this era, that might not be such a bad idea for them, even if it sucks for their employees.

Which is understandable.....but....the most fool-proof way to limit liability from the shot....let the employees choose.
I kind of wonder if contract nullification due to duress would be a factor.
