Imagine the lawsuits when for example Angelina Jolie's CGI puppet engages in ....well you get the picture (pun intended) or someone recreates Epstein island in photo realistic CGI.

Then we have kangaroo courts in China and Russia (and the Democrat congress) that will create videos of crimes committed by CGI to convict their enemies. . What sentence do we give for the creators of false CGI? Is it the same a filing a false report? Is it interfering with due process? Lots of questions that our incompetent Politicians won't be able to answer correctly.

People, please put down your games, your sports and anything else that does not contribute to improving your safety, your security and your financial well-being. Time is short. Entertainment is grand, but we are in a crisis. Time for games needs to be put aside for the moment. With all due respect.

We seem to be getting closer and closer to the day when movies will not require actual actors, and the day when politicians won’t have to hold real press briefings for that matter, and newscasts won’t have to have real videos of their stories.
The reason for this is better and better computer graphics.
If you’ve watched any of the more recent Star Wars movies, you’ve not just seen computer generated backgrounds, but you’ve also probably noted the computer generated characters. For instance the Empire’s commander, played in the original movie by Peter Cushing, was “recreated” in CG for a later movie. This was the start. The most recent movie included a CG Princess Leia to stand in for Carrie Fischer who died before the production was complete. In the current iteration of Episode IV, A New Hope, Lucas or Disney has modified the original movie to include more characters and even scenes, all via CG, and all pretty good.
While these examples are not trivial, they are just off enough that you can tell that the results are CG, and they are miles ahead of previous attempts at CG characters.
So what happens when CG takes a few more steps, improves its portrayal of non-existent characters and actors, settings and backgrounds? Will we then have newscasts replete with fictional CG generated people and settings? Will we see politicians pushing going to war over an invented attack on a US embassy, with fabricated film and characters that cannot be distinguished from real people? Or maybe an invented Presidential assassination that allows for Pelosi to assume the Presidency and declare martial law? Hell, they could even come up with the long lost video of Trump and the prostitutes peeing on Obama’s bed in that Moscow hotel!!
