Looking over the well intentioned posts in Gab I can't help but get the feeling that this country is on the fast track to a death spiral, and I'm not referring to politics (but that surely is a factor).

Corporations = evil
Greed = evil
Free market - evil, because it enables the above.
Cost of living - needs government regulation as things are out of control.
Entitlement - long over due

From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.

While these 'patriots' don't come right out and say it this is exactly what they favor.

Explaining the free market to a twenty-something is shocking. Explaining cause and effect is pathetic.

    I always said that 15% of the people in the US "get it" - are mentally capable of independent thought and sound reason / basic deduction. The rest are lost. Many years after I said that I saw an interview (FWIW) where Louis Farrakhan said Muhamad claimed that 85% of the people can't figure out cause/effect. I know...odd source, but the number caught my attention. Western civilization is in real trouble.

    Do they irrationally criticize and blame previous 'generations' for all their frustrations in life or just racist white men?

    These are the minds that explain how "hope and change" got elected as a platform.
