    Link?

I am far from an expert on this, but I believe a Karyotype is a dye and photograph (hence the suffix "otype") method of counting and identifying chromosome chains. The XX/XY etc. depictions shown in the chart are a method of representing individual sex chromosome or chromosome pairing for identifying sex of the individual within a species (such as human).

In any case, although there may be outliers in the natural occurrence of chromosomal pairs in the human species the vast majority are XX or XY in roughly even amounts. The frequency of outliers within the population seems to be still up for debate as I've seen different "experts" offering different numbers from way less than 1%, as shown in your chart, to over 1%. You'd think "experts", which I am not one of, would be able to get their act together on this so the rest of us can move along on this topic. Then there's the programming or psychological angle where XX thinks she's Napoleon and XY thinks he's Josephine. For all that I'll stick with the two bucks and counterfeits until the "experts" finally straighten it all out for the rest of us.

Thank you for the chart, lrshultis, as I haven't seen that one before.

Yeah. Burnout zone. My motorhead friends and I used to joke about that all the time when we saw one of those signs.

That driver has lived my fantasy.

To those who believe the only sexes are xx and xy. Even the genitals are not always clearly defined.

    The Six Most Common Karyotypes

    X – Roughly 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 5,000 people (Turner's )
XX – Most common form of female.
    XXY – Roughly 1 in 500 to 1 in 1,000 people (Klinefelter)
XY – Most common form of male.
XYY – Roughly 1 out of 1,000 people.
    XXXY – Roughly 1 in 18,000 to 1 in 50,000 births.

Good thing I finished lunch before I read these little gems! It would have been a one-woman food fight. Can't stop laughing and have shared to all Mt family as well. :) :) Thanks for another great Friday, Carl👍

I'm not stupid enough to fall for the storm trooper gag... I told the Space Force recruiter that I wanted to be a door gunner, on the Space Shuttle. He said he could do that.
I start Basic Training next week!

Love 'em all, but Storm Trooper, Two Dollars, and Pop Rocks are on top, LOL.

Edit add: I have to say raising the dome, too, because yesterday morning my wife showed me a pic of Piglosi and said if her eyebrows were any higher they'd be in her hairline. LOL

I used to know a doctor with a sense of humor who named his cat "Salmonella". I wonder if he has one now named "Covid."
