Is Published Food Inflation Very Much Understated ?

The inflation chart understates the changes in food, especially for people with limited budgets.
How many people specifically buy grocery items when they are on sale, not at 'regular' prices?
I do, when possible. Examples based on personal experience since 1 year ago sale prices:
Rib-eye roast prices +90%
Chicken leg quarters +102%
Pork shoulder +63% to +91%
Asparagus +150%
Boneless Pork Loin +54%
Coca Cola 2-liter +34% to +67%
Canned Vegetables +100%
Sirloin steak +40%
Apples +38%
Pork Ribs +46% to +66%

Note also that unless those with limited means have the latest smart phones, many of the lowest sale prices are no longer available to them (due to software "upgrades.")

What are your experiences?

And I hope everyone understands one person caused all this. His name is Joe Biden and when he turned the spigot and shut down the pipeline...bingo! Instant inflation because of his jealousy of Trump.

I have to disagree with Buy-dem being the sole source of the problem.
He didn't pass the moronic trillion $ spending bill that he signed into law, con-gress did.
Buy-dem didn't solely pass all the spending bills that created the national debt.
None of that would have been possible without the federal reserve act and the 16th amendment.
If you want the primary source of the problem, those two acts are the ones to target.
Without those the con-gress would have been limited to spending what was available
from other funding sources and the national debt would be a trivial amount.

I giggle going into the store after Thanksgiving. There are a fantastic number of Turkeys and hams that didn't sell. I think Americans have switched to hot dogs and potato salad for Thanksgiving. Lovely. Can't wait to see what Christmas will bring.

Whole turkey may be an exception this year to the massive increases, but often some items, like turkey, are specially discounted during holidays.
However, the 'holiday special prices' on turkey breast are up more than 100% since last year in the stores where I shop.
