Now would be a great time to promote the AS movies

Friends and I keep pointing out 'instances' that relate directly to the Atlas Shrugged movies. Today is no exception, perhaps more so, in fact with a title like that.

As my AS t-shirt says, “Non Fiction.”

My husband and I are rewatching the three part movie. She is filling up her truck at a cost of over $40.00 a gallon. Sure looks like a non-fiction book to me.

BTW, the movie isn’t great, and I wish that some studio would do a better job.

I don't mind promoting the BOOK, but excuse me, I don't see much point in promoting the 3-part movie.
It didn't begin to do justice to the book. Not to brag, but for $300 and an electric typewriter, I could have written a much better script. (It's not bragging, because it's really not saying much.)

Times are different tho - most of the population won't read a book that long. Right now, video is king...look at any social media. They are full of videos. (I hate it.)

I don't know about you dear, but I hate the new movies and serials on TV. The actors speak at warp speed and don't open their mouths. A deaf person (like my son) can't read their lips. He's switched to the Captions. Even the news readers do the same.

I'm with you (and your son!) on the recent tv and movies. Between the fast talking and the mumbling, I leave the captioning on all the time. On those few shows where there is no captioning available, I feel like I miss half the dialogue.

Absolutely. I am always adjusting the volume remote when the actors are in dialogue. The whispering and the mumbling are then interrupted by the excessively loud Hollywood chew face slurping like a bunch of guppies when just kissing.

Captioning is on all the time also because so many programs worth watching are from overseas. There can be some really good stuff, but needs those captions alright.

" I am always adjusting the volume remote when the actors are in dialogue." Same here. Very loud music and sound effects track and mumbling dialog sometimes keeps my hand on the remote.

I am sooo glad to hear others say they cannot hear/understand dialog on tv because of the IGNORANT UNNECESSARY "music"! My hearing aids don't help. They only amplify the "music". If I adjust the volume to try and understand the dialog the commercials come BLASTING the entire neighborhood!!!

Amen to that! I am relieved to know it isn't just me! The audio quality of the newer stuff sucks. When I watch classic movies I have in my collection there are no virtually problems at all understanding the characters.

I've had captions on for several years now because of this mumbling effect. I read once that it was due to the compression that they use when they make the audio track.

I leave captions on for the same reasons as the others here,

Has anyone noticed that remakes of shows and most new shows must have a black leading role and either a gay or lesbian couple sucking face or more?
Not that I have anything against gay or lesbian but the big push on so many shows is clearly Leftist propaganda. .Waiting for Atlas Shrugged the TV series that people were talking about. Will Reardon be gay? Dagny black, Asian and lesbian? Will the bad guys all be white KKK members? Or worse angry parents? LOL. .

It seems that way. Being the contrarian that I am, I typically won't watch a linked video, but will read a story, which I can skip through and get the relevant points. Videos, in my experience, contain only about 5% interesting info, and 95% filler and BS. Written stories are much the same, but the 5% I'm looking for is easier to find.

Does that make me a Dino, too Allosaur?

better time would be a couple of months before the mid terms where SHTF will be raging and there is nothing the left can do to stop the process.
The election of biden and the leftists was about the best thing that could happen to promote AS, as the whole country sinks into what was shown in AS- because of the policies of statism
