Excerpt:
"Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson issued a legal opinion saying that his office won’t seek disciplinary action against doctors who prescribe hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin as off-label medicines to treat or prevent COVID-19, as long as they are not engaging in any misconduct.

The opinion (pdf), issued on Oct. 14, was in response to a request from Dannette Smith, CEO of the state’s Department of Health, which licenses and disciplines doctors. Smith asked whether it would be “deemed unlawful or otherwise subject to discipline” for doctors to prescribe ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, or other “off label use” medications to treat or prevent COVID-19.

The Republican attorney general said in the opinion that his office finds “the available data does not justify filing disciplinary actions against physicians simply because they prescribe ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine to prevent or treat COVID-19.”"

When our doc retired during pLandemic, I did not meet replacement for several months. When I did, he said "No one knows what is in those shots." I was so pleased, and told him I had been researching for 18 months, and he was shocked at some of what was in them. At least he knew he was smarter than the AMA or gov. docs, who just follow what they are told.

"Off label" is common for lots of drugs. It costs a lot of money to run the clinical trial and get approval to use a drug for a specific disease. However, because of the method of action, there are other diseases and conditions that it works for as well.

Since it is an approved drug, doctors can prescribe it and sometimes the "off label" uses are more common than what it was originally approved for.

There is a catch, while doctors can prescribe it -- and promote prescribing it, drug companies cannot advertise "off-label" uses for their drugs. There is a gray area where drug companies pay expenses etc. for doctors to travel to conferences and promote "off label" uses. This can get them in trouble.

The attack on "off-label" uses as part of the battle against Covid therapeutics has been one of the more bizarre developments in the last couple of years. Hydroxycholoroquine was obviously attacked because "orange man bad". If Trump recommended drinking water, the media would be full of drowning statistics.

Ivermectin is a bit harder to understand, but is probably still "orange man bad" in that the people promoting it are seen as likely supporters of Trump.

Don't tell anyone about vitamin D, I'm counting on it.

Of course, I'm also vaccinated because given my risk profile I didn't want to roll the dice that my natural immune system would learn to beat Covid before it overwhelmed my system and killed me.

The traitors in DC (FDA, CDC) have declared that Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine can not be legally prescribed by doctors for treatment of Covid ... because it actually treats the virus successfully, save lives and medical costs, and reduces Pharma profits.
Those two drugs are allowed for the treatment of other ailments specified by (the same traitors at) FDA and CDC. 'Off label' means doctors prescribe it for something other than the ailments that FDA/CDC specifically allow, e.g., Covid.

Hydroxychloroquine is primarily an anti-malaria treatment, but because it has a long history of safe use, and has identified antviral properties, the FDA has no objection to doctors prescribing it for viral treatment. The same holds for Ivermectin, which is an antiparasitic with a long history of safe use and verified antiviral capability.

Sildenafil, which was originally prescribed for treatment of pulmonary hypertension, is probably the most famous case of off-label use. After certain side effects of the drug were noticed, it became used first off-label for treatment of erectile dysfunction before becoming famous as Viagra.

These Posts are all so interesting. Can I assume Ivermectin is just a 'guess'? Are you guys saying these geniuses don't really have a 'cure' for Covid?

There are at least three known cures for COVID aside from just letting your body naturally take care of it. Hydroxychloroquine was the first identified and recognized, probably because of the 2005 study done testing the effectiveness of Chloroquine against the original SARS virus. (It was deemed to be safe and effective even as a prophylactic.) It should be noted that chloroquine is a derivative of Quinine - obtained from tree bark - and has been used for more than 70 years generically, most commonly to treat lupus.

The primary criticism of hcq is that there aren't any peer-reviewed studies showing its effectiveness against COVID-19. This is entirely phony as they ignore both the 2005 study (published in the CDC's journals) and the successful, real-life clinical administration of hcq to tens of thousands of patients by America's Frontline Doctors with a 100% success rate if given early. It still has a higher success rate in more advanced patients than the standard protocols - especially intubation which has an 85% FATALITY rate.

Ivermectin was a more recent addition, but it has gained tremendous cache after Joe Rogan used it to recover in only days. Developed nearly 40 years ago, it won a Nobel prize for its effectiveness in Africa and the Middle East in treating parasitical infections. Ivermectin has also been used in livestock, generating some derision among detractors (the "horse de-wormer" controversy which gained CNN a huge black eye). It, too, has been administered to tens of thousands of COVID patients with outstanding success even in advanced patients yet despite the actual successes, the CDC's political arm has been pretty successful in restricting its access to the Common Joe.

Monoclonal antibodies are a very new addition. Administered intravenously over the course of several hours, this basically floods the body with antibodies which have been replicated from people who have successfully recovered from COVID-19. It gives the body a huge jump-start in combatting the bug naturally before it can overwhelm the system. Monoclonal antibody treatments also enjoy an incredibly high success rate even in advanced cases. Recently Joe Biden went after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (who touted MA as a fantastic treatment for COVID) by trying to restrict Florida's access to the treatments.

All this for a pathogen that despite being highly infectious has a fatality rate of less than one tenth of one percent. And of those, 85% are over 65 years old. Even the CDC admits that the average condition of a COVID fatality is an individual who is 70 years old with 3 other comorbidities - the most common of which is obesity. As people get younger (and healthier), the fatality rates drop by orders of magnitude. The fatality rate in children is less than 6 one hundredths of one percent, ie of the ~700,000 COVID fatalities reported, only 421 were in those under 20.

And don't be deceived about the "vaccines." They are 100% worthless. They do not prevent a person treated from acquiring COVID (some studies even suggest that they encourage infection). They do not prevent a person treated from spreading COVID (studies have shown a treated person is actually MORE infectious). They do not ameliorate the symptoms so that fewer treated end up in the hospital - another common lie. (This has been debunked by recent studies out of Israel and the UK showing that of their COVID hospitalizations, at least 60% were in "vaccinated" individuals.) And they do not prevent people from dying as a result of COVID. A very recent high-profile death was Colin Powell.
