Democrats now proposing tax on "unrealized capital gains"
This is terrifying. Talk about a completely ephemeral concept. This would be a 100% arbitrary tax enabling the IRS to go after anyone for any alleged income they have - emphasis on alleged. They could set the "margin" on a transaction to be anything at all to justify their charges.
People who suggest things like this should be fired, pilloried, and run out of the US.

- 2Posted by mccannon01 2 years, 6 months agoIf the end goal is to convert what's left of Free America to a totalitarian communist state, then this plan is no real surprise especially when we all know it will creep down into anyone who has any kind of investment regardless of how small (track $600 transactions, anyone?). The Republicans should be screaming to the roof tops over all this, but they seem to be just offering up token whimpering and hand wringing (except for a very few). I've listened to a few conservative pundits calling the alarm, but they have no vote in congress to stop this slide to the abyss. All the power seems to be in the "free stuff for me no matter how stupid" electorate and the commie politicians leading them on.
