UN Climate Change Conference Reportedly Using Diesel Generators To Charge Teslas Being Used As Shuttles

Excerpt:
"The stated purpose of the conference is, among other things, "to review the implementation of the Convention, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement."

The climate change conferences now count themselves, according to the UNFCCC's website, as "among the largest international meetings in the world."

"The intergovernmental negotiations have likewise become increasingly complex and involve an ever-increasing number of officials from governments all over the world, at all levels, as well as huge numbers of representatives from civil society and the global news media," the conference's website says.

Maybe since we're gathered to talk about the negative effect on the climate, we could at least start by finding a carbon neutral way to shuttle yourself back and forth to the event.

It's almost like these meetings aren't really about climate change after all... "

"Climate Change" is about power, not solutions. If it were about solutions, we'd actually have real conversations about CO2, rather than a problem in need of data. Also, if immediate action is needed, we'd be all in on nuclear energy and eliminating ethanol in favor of biodiesel.

This is about disrupting the status quo, assuming those in control of media can take control, not solving any problem.

Of course they are 75km/45miles away, driving each direction every day. Of course they don't consider where the power actually comes from. They are totalitarian oligarchs (rules for you, not me) and idiots.

The UK electricity grid is in a parlous state just now- winter has come on unexpectedly so reducing sunshine, the wind has dropped- due to climate change, so not enough power even for essential talk-fests.

It is good to see good planning in getting a fleet of diesel generators to charge-up the essential Tesla fleet.
Was it at the previous COP when they supplied a fleet of the largest diesel SUVs for carrying delegates around?

Where would the environment be without diesel?

    ----
I particularly like the the extract:
"The intergovernmental negotiations have .... " blah blah

The last act of a collapsed civilization- nothing matters except more and more negotiations, more talk, and more meetings... could add- bigger deficits, more vaccinations, and use diesel.

While on about Teslas, recall what Elon Musk said:

There is no Horn of Plenty that produces these goods.
    They have to be produced.
If you don’t make stuff, there’s no stuff.
You can’t just legislate money and solve these things
    .

Brazil is not the producer of 'most of the world's coffee'. Brazil's total production is 30% of the coffee market (in 2019.) They are the largest coffee producer in the world. Brazil does produce a lot of poor quality coffee, so they may be the source for a lot of the popular brands of really bad coffee. Brazil also has a number of small producers that are making very good coffee at very reasonable prices. Viet Nam is the 2nd largest coffee producer and their coffee is even lower quality than Brazil.

Well, no one expects accuracy, especially when they are making it all up, anyways. My point was, the lie of CO2, where on one hand, it is ending the world, on the other, not making enough of it is the cause of all the issue. Root cause of all our troubles are demonrats and RINOs. Coffee does suck a lot nowadays, even Navy 5lb canned crap in the 80s was better than what is around today.

I agree, nick, and I got your point on the linked article. The coffee 'fact' presented was so glaringly untrue that I wanted to expose it.

Unfortunately, lately the best way to get good product is to do it yourself, not very efficient though. For me, roasting my own coffee is worth the extra time to get a high quality product the way I like it. Gets my day started right.

It's the beans, and I ought to start looking for good beans myself, as I make one pot a day, and one a night at work. I loved Kona (real Kona), it was incredibly smooth, and still had a kick to it.

Well a neat snarky report. Apples and oranges. What was the diesel burned last meeting to shuffle folks around in multispeed diesel vehicles? And how much was burned to charge the teslas? A diesel Genset is a stationary power source running set rpm and is very fuel and emission efficient. Net carbon savings could very well make ecological sense. But we don't know.
