I am not keen that Bernie Sanders liked this but, (truth is truth), the core of what he did follows along with much of what Yaron Brook says in his lectures.

    Who studied the Hawthorne Experiment?
Employees respond with performance when they can see management/owners care about them as people.

When people complain about the wealth gap.....they’re not wrong. If a CEO voluntarily does such and is still able profit enough to make the outlay of resources worthwhile, more power to them.
There comes a point where if Hank Reardon underpaid his workers so badly, and they had no other good choice, that the logical move by the workers is to enlist the aid of government. Not saying that’s right. But neither is what caused that reaction.
John Galt gave up obvious wealth to do what’s right. So what Dan is doing is similar. Being a libertarian isn’t about intentionally screwing over everyone else on principle. It’s about doing the “right” thing on principle.
Defining “right” is left to the person with the choice to make. Choose incorrectly in the eyes of others, and suffer the consequences.
As individuals we cannot ignore society completely if we intend to live in it.
If someone in the fictional Galt’s Gulch decided to start burning everyone else’s homes down just because they felt like it. There would be repercussions. Consequences for ones actions are NOT the problem. It’s insulating people from those consequences that is.
