‘Harmful Language Alert’: National Archives puts WARNING LABEL on US Constitution and Declaration of Independence

Of course the anti-white, socialists employed by the treasonous fedgov must destroy the very essence of individual liberty.

Excerpt:
"The link on the label leads to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) statement on “potentially harmful content,” defined as reflecting “racist, sexist, ableist, misogynistic/misogynoir, and xenophobic opinions and attitudes” or being “discriminatory towards or exclude diverse views on sexuality, gender, religion, and more,” among other criteria.

The archivists are told to inform the users about the presence and origin of such “harmful content,” update descriptions with “more respectful terms” and make “an institutional commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.”

It was unclear when the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights were labeled as potentially harmful. Back in July, during its traditional reading of the Declaration on the anniversary of its adoption – July 4, 1776 – National Public Radio added a disclaimer for the very first time, saying that “the words in the document land differently” after “last summer’s protests and our national reckoning on race.”"

    There are loads of harmful and controversial words in those documents: right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, right to bear arms, freedom of assembly, freedom to petition the government, freedom from unlawful searches and siezures; many more that the left and the 'woke' find abhorrant!

    Evidently~our?~National Archives has become infested with walking Woke sad jokes for traitors.
    Me dino equates this Marxist move as sprinkling kerosene on a republic's founding documents that domestic enemies fully intend to burn.
    This is an oh so hopeful attempt to psychologically tenderize something to be ultimatelty cooked and viciously devoured.

    Fools are dooming all Western Civilization to repeat the history they apparently haven't learned a thing from. The left and its ignorance has permeated all levels of our society with the goal of destroying it. This is just another example of "If bad for Free America, do it.".

    I still have yet to see a "harmful content" warning on CRT crap being forced upon us.

    National Archives Website Flags U.S. Constitution with ‘Harmful Language Alert’

    https://thegreggjarrett.com/national-...

    "Big tech and its moral “alerts” are at it again, and this time it’s against the United States Constitution. The http://archives.org website has been flagged with a “harmful language alert” appearing on many of its pages. The alert then links to a page entitled “NARA’s Statement on Potentially Harmful Content.”

    The alert appears at the top of the page, and the linked National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) “statement on potentially harmful content” is described as:

    reflect racist, sexist, ableist, misogynistic/misogynoir, and xenophobic opinions and attitudes;
    be discriminatory towards or exclude diverse views on sexuality, gender, religion, and more;
    include graphic content of historical events such as violent death, medical procedures, crime, wars/terrorist acts, natural disasters, and more;
    demonstrate bias and exclusion in institutional collecting and digitization policies.
    The National Pulse points out, “Bizarrely, the warning does not appear on a page about Jim Crow, which has no fewer than 6 uses of the word “N_gg_r.’ Nor does it appear on a page with the word ‘k*ke.” It does, however, appear on the page with the United States Constitution.

    One subparagraph is titled “How is this material described, and why are some of the terms used in the descriptions harmful?” Lists the following:

    Archivists choose what language to use when describing materials. Some of these descriptions were written many years ago, using language that was accepted at the time.
    Archivists often re-use language provided by creators or former owners of the material. This can provide important context, but it can also reflect biases and prejudices.
    Archivists often use a standardized set of terms, such as the Library of Congress Subject Headings, to describe materials. Some of these terms are outdated, offensive, or insensitive.
    In the past, the National Archives has not had standards or policies to help archivists avoid harmful language."

    I can find a lot of things to get excited about more so than the wording in the Constitution. Don't these people have anything else to do, like finding a cure for cancer maybe? If all that energy was put to a practical use wouldn't it be wonderful?

      They do not need to find a cure for something they designed to kill humanity with. The intention is to thin the population by any means, and drain funds into their coffers.
      The documents were written with God in their hearts,making them necessary to destroy from a Satanist's standpoint.

      You are assuming that they have any real producer qualifications. People who do things like this are enabled in their laziness and looting by other looters. You have to get rid of all of them.

        150 million people must be re-trained to rid them of leftist indoctrination. Many will be productive if utter poverty is the only alternative. (Loss of cell phone service would be enough to awaken a few.)

          "Many will be productive if utter poverty is the only alternative."

          Funny, but up until only a couple of generations ago, this was the operating principle in the US. I personally think that the welfare system is probably one of the greatest evils perpetrated upon this nation because it encourages sloth and taxes the industrious to support them. It is a form of slavery.

    Preamble to the Constitution could now start as “We the people, not being superior to any other life forms, in order to form a more divided union….”

    Continuing the "Hate America" revolution. There is some psychological basis for this, and they know it. Value signaling by criticizing one's own group internally feels as if the criticizer is elevating him self above the rest of the group.

    Someone has a plan. It is not dumb-ass-Joe. Some group is fundamentally manipulating a massive transition, starting with the military, who are subjects to POTUS. Never before been this level of subversion in the US. It is akin to a Marxist revolution.

    Government produces nothing. People who produce nothing have crawled, squirmed, and connived themselves into government. Until it is completely saturated with them.

    I check other historical documents like the Emancipation Proclamation, Federalist Papers, and others all have the same warning label. I can't believe this is happening. Wokeness is so pervasive. Maybe, I should say the federal Communist government is trying to manipulate every aspect of US history in the worse possible way.

    When I read this, I was as appalled as the rest of you! Our government officials have failed to uphold their sworn oaths to defend The Constitution of The United States of America. They all should be removed from office, and Joe Bob, who runs the farm down the street should take over.

    However, with my strong feelings, this article is wrong and misleading! I went to the national archives website, and the entire website has the warning on it. Not specific documents. Their warning is general in nature, and in no way is singling the Constitution out as a document with hate speech. Please, people, this place is supposed to be full of those who actually use their brains! Don't become a mob, believing the bad just because it sounds like it should be true. Real truth is needed more than ever in the world. Not the lies that are shrouded in truth. That's what they're doing! That is the way of the devil. God and good are always based in truth. Don't go over the edge with them.

      If you go directly to the page showing the Declaration of Independence (and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights), the warning appears at the top of the page. If they didn't intend it to apply to these specific documents, then it should not appear.
      In my opinion, this is not a case of mere incompetence; it is a case of purposeful anti-liberty propaganda.
      We are not becoming a mob. The criminal mob is in Washington DC. We investigate and the truth can be found. The National Archives ARE in FACT issuing warnings on the pages of the founding documents. That is the truth.
