    Somehow that reminded me dino of too many "hurry up and wait" episodes in the Marines.

    I can recall that day clearly. I was in my office when the Salvation Army worker ran in and asked to turn on my TV. As we watched the 2nd bldg was hit. She and I both started crying. She served in Korea during the Conflict and so did my husband, plus 2 times in Viet Nam. One of my doctors called me. He was a first responder. One of my young nurses called, she was a first responder. I gave them my blessings and thanks and wished them a safe trip to Ft Dix NJ. They were stunned and said, 'Ft Dix, NJ?' We're going to NY...I said, 'Yes, you are, but first you will go to Ft Dix, NJ and get your instructions.' Mama knows best!

    A day or three after 9/11, a bunch of singing musicians appeared on some TV network in response to that mass murder..
    One who played a guitar started to sing, "Let It Be."
    Me being a dino made him disappear from my TV screen amid an explosion of enraged profanity.
