Study: People deficient in Vitamin D are 14 times more likely to get severe Covid

"The Israeli study looked at the Vitamin D levels of 1200 patients in their medical records before they got infected with Covid. This is important because although studies like the Indonesian study last year showed that people with low levels of Vitamin D were much more likely to die of Covid, those patients weren’t assessed until they turned up at hospital when they were already sick. We couldn’t be sure that something about Covid itself wasn’t chewing through the Vitamin D levels and causing the deficiency. So an Israeli team looked back through their records for up to 2 years to see what their last blood tests showed.


It’s a retrospective study, so the blood levels of D might have changed, yet despite that, the results still pop out of the data. Ideally we’d measure them just before they got sick.

Don’t wait til you’re in ICU to fix that deficiency. And definitely don’t wait for the CDC or Anthony Fauci to suggest it.

The biggest disadvantage with Vitamin D is that there’s no money in it."

    The overall public health crisis has been missed completely if you look at who is actually most at risk for covid-19. Obesity, type 2 diabetes and hypertension are all related to increased inflammation in the body related to both vit d def and multiple nutritional def. esp omega 3/ omega 6 balance from our highly processed diet and additives. It goes back to the even the Ancient Greeks who said diet and exercise lies at the heart of most health issues.

      Doc, I know you get Omega3 from salmon, sardines and other foods but I have not heard about Omega6. How do you get that?

        omega 6's are inflammatory fats from vegetable oils and margarine as well as processed foods and sugars converted to fats. For example grass fed beef vs grain fed beef. Grass fed high omega3/ low omega 6 grain fed high omega 6/ low omega3. A recent study showed that having health omega 3 index could extend lifespan on average of 4.7 years equal to the neg aspect of smoking which can decrease it by the same amount, . a very profound amount

    Instead of wasting $ on testing and jabbing for covid we should have quick tests for Vit D deficiency that anyone can take easily and fix without waiting weeks to see a quack.
    Oops, that would improve health and cut profits for the medical looters.
    Can't have that.

    Great post FFA , I have posted in the past a senior British Doctor who has done extensive research on vit D3. After listening to him I have taken it daily.
    The biggest disadvantage with Vitamin D3 is that there’s no money in it.

    The largest study to date had 208000 people in it and showed the same thing. An inverse relationship with Vit 3 levels esp if above 60 and taking it daily

    This really is a major component of my regimen that has allowed me to be sniffle-free for 16 years now.

    When my dad went in the ICU with COVID they started him on Vit D, and an off-label drug to try to save him.

    my prostate doc said its important to have good votamin D level for many other reasons. I have been taking supplements for over 10 years and anecdotally havent gotten covid at all for over a year before I got this vaccine.
