    But the problem is that they weren't bad...they, as many were, evolving to better and better world views and just like today, met with a lot of resistance.

    Black and white only movies, subtle and clever.
    A reminder of the danger of interpreting the past from the limited information that exists now. In particular, some people of two hundred years ago were 'bad', so pull down their statues.

    BTW, we have plenty of dentists here in Alabama.
    Dunno about Gulf Shores where there are Alabama sharks. Always preferred a Florida Panhandle beach.
