Thanks to Republicans There Is A New Auto Mileage Tax Tracked Electronically in Every New Car

Excerpt:
"Joe Biden and the Republicans – without whom Joe Biden could not have done it – may have just outlawed cars that can’t be tracked without actually outlawing them, per se. Instead, they will be regulated away – the new trick in government’s dirty bag thereof.

It might have caused a ruckus to propose a law outlawing older vehicle without Onboard Diagnostic (OBD II) electronic data collection ports, GPS transponders or some other, similar means by which a vehicle can be externally tracked – using the pretext of keeping track of its mileage that way, so as to tax its owner that way. This being bad enough all by itself, being invasive enough all by itself. Instead of paying gas taxes anonymously at the pump whenever you fill up – possibly with cash – the federal government will tax automatically and electronically you by the mile, wherever you drive.

Which will also give the government – and the insurance mafia, which is also effectively the government, just ex officio but endowed with governmental power to make you do things or else – the power to monitor how you drive, since the same OBD data port/GPS that will be used to keep track of mileage can also keep track of how fast you drive as well as where and when you drive.

Everything about your drive will, in other words, be known unto them.

That is one of the many treasures hidden within the just-passed – by enabling Republicans, who provided the necessary support for the Democrats who confected it – “Infrastructure” bill. Which only has about 20 percent to do with building new roads and bridges or fixing the ones that exist and 80 percent to do with funding various projects that almost no one wishes to fund voluntarily, as by paying for them willingly. Okay, if the Infrasture boondoggle happens to be passed by the far Left Dems that Tracking part Doodlegieg stated that it is a pilot program (he's probably lying) for those people who have electric cars since they aren't paying the tax on gasoline. I already have a module from Allstate so I get a lower rate on the car insurance. I have gone through three modules that have failed in the automobile I drive. Also, it will go offline if you don't drive the car for seven days. So, any module that the Feds come up with will have a high failure rate. If the Feds tried to force all drivers to install such a module would have to be installed directly to vehicles ECM. If that ever happens I would fabricate a fine copper mesh box to be mounted over the ECM.

LOL... but I'm sure the system they install will want constant communication... or your car will shut down.

It’s not stopping them now. 1T for who knows what and 3.5T for socialism. And the republicans signed on too. Bastards

How difficult would it be to convert a diesel to cooking oil or steam? No electronics to worry about, no GPS or mileage tracker. Looking to trade my Fiesta for an older p/up in the next few weeks.

Then you're right in there. Don't think just about miles per gallon. Think about ton*miles per gallon. The diesel pickup will be very efficient.

I think I'm going to find me a nice '57 Chevy Bel-Aire 2 Door Hardtop like I had in my senior year of high school. Even my parents couldn't track me in that. Would something like that be grandfathered today? The only fall back is it won't run on electricity and gas will be unavailable.

How are you only getting 12 mpg with a Cummins engine? Are you towing heavy all the time? Mine gives me 20-22 mpg when running free. 10-12 when towing heavy.

I was thinking that $8 per gallon would be enough to do it, plus a Cash-For-Clunkers on steroids to give people incentive to get their internal combustion cars crushed, plus a big, fat, juicy tax credit to buy an elecurrtickle car.

They will see to it that gas costs like $15 a gallon, and people will need to buy a new electric car.

I think I might just NOT vote next time. I mean- whats the difference between the repubs and the dems.. They both just increase government power- even Trump who instituted 25% tariffs against chinese goods coming here- but WE pay the tax, not the chinese.

In nevada, the mileage is automatically sent to the state each time a smog check is done. This has been happening quietly for awhile now, and now I see why. governments ALWAYS want more $$

Both of my classics are without On-Star, ordered a Faraday pouch for my cell, and another for my laptop this week. During the shutdown, I just plopped the cell on pool table and took off, nothing trackable with me We have to stop them, before they vax the babies and kill our pets. Just a guess, but the East is having a bird diesease of unknown origin, war to bet Gates is involved? We are in a 50s sci fi horror movie, hope my alien (galatic) buddies step in soon and rain down fireballs on them.
