My parents were very strict about attending Mass each Sunday. As a kid who had fallen out of a tree, had to go to Mass on crutches when I could barely walk. Each summer my family of Dothan, Alabama, spent weekends at a Florida lake house an hour's drive due south. Each and every Sunday morning we'd dress up to attend Mass 30 minutes away. Got old even for a half-grown me dino already "a bad Catholic" at heart.
There hopes are kept alive since one day 2+2=7, another day 2+2=3.05, and another day 2+2= -5. If they keep trying, eventually 2+2= the answer they want, or so they infinitely hope.
