I think they have been doing this for a long time. The wife said that for some unknown reason all the photos on her iphone were reorganized by subject several months ago. She thought it was neat. I just grumbled under my breath, knowing that privacy was gone long, long ago. Don’t have iphone, never will, and never, never use the cloud - whatever that is. I like being solitary and old fashioned.

I realize I'm in a tiny, tiny minority, but I've been telling people for years that unless their job makes it absolutely necessary, to intentionally buy and carry around an iBinky is to not only sell out every last shred of your privacy, willingly, but also to turn yourself into a surveillance drone for the whole Intel community, whether of legit law-enforcement character or not. And with absolutely zero in the way of Fourth Amendment protections, probable cause, due process of law, or any of that other "human rights" stuff.

And yes, they'll take my ancient flip-phone from me when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

This isn't good. Apparently they are going to inspect your photos looking for evidence of pedo activity. This, of course, is all subject to interpretation. A while back my wife put a photo on FB of my daughter, looking 10 years older than her age. I didn't like it, said so at the time and, today, I explained that some person in the government who is a little sick in the head could get access to that and cause real trouble. This whole thing is creepy as hell...

Whenever you use a companies network, cloud, phone, hosting services, even internet access you have opened the door to scrutiny and have surrendered degrees of privacy...thst include cable TV and land line phones.
