Ivermectin ....Review of the Emerging Evidence Demonstrating the Efficacy of Ivermectin in the Prophylaxis and Treatment of COVID-19

Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.

    Thanks Dobrien.
The first named contributor is Pierre Kory, a pioneer in use of ivermectin on this virus. Dr Kory is a champion for human health, science, and honesty.

Note. The paper on the Elgazzar trial, Benha U. in Egypt has been withdrawn.

      Your welcome Lucky.
Can you post a link that describes the Elgazzar trial?

        The Elgazzar study on ivermectin-
Large study, 600 patients, very positive summary in favor.
"may have fabricated their data and plagiarised large portions of their paper"

I do not have a direct link but here are some indirect mentions:

Government of Egypt is investigating that study.

Refers to the smear campaign against ivermectin.
'Given the safety profile of Ivermectin, there is nothing to lose'

".. ideologies on safety and efficacy pits a group of doctors who deal with dying patients every day against bureaucrat academic clinicians. These academic clinicians have dismissed all evidence, favouring a single, large randomised trial that is entirely appropriate for novel drug development but not for pandemics."

Good article, one very silly comment from anon.

This where I first heard about the Elgazzar study.
Comments are on the lines that excluding the result of this study make little difference to total numbers and no difference to conclusion about it working very well - on top of long established safety record.
