Gov. Kate Brown signed a law (Passed By The Democrat Dominated Oregon Con-gress) to allow Oregon students to graduate without being able to write or do math

Excerpt:
"The Beaver State's Democrat-dominated legislature passed a bill in mid-June, SB 744, dropping requirements that would-be graduates demonstrate they have achieved essential high school-level reading, writing, and math skills for the next five years, the paper said. The move was an extension of the suspension of skills requirements that had been enacted last year in response to the pandemic.

Oregon, unlike other states, did not require standardized tests — which are often regarded as being unfair to minority communities — to show proficiency. Students had a number of options to show subject proficiency: They could choose from a number of different tests or complete classroom projects judged by their own teachers, the Oregonian added."

Good slaves don't need reading and math skills. It's for their own good because it only confuses them. It underscores the "idiot" in the phrase "Useful idiot".

I've had numerous young people admire my handwriting, which I think has seriously deteriorated over the years. They ask how I accomplished the skill to write so beautifully. Hours and hours of penmanship in school! We were graded on it!

My third grade teacher needed a way to control me. Since I was attentive to all my school assignments, she picked on my penmanship which was better than some and worse than others.
Her praise for the things I did well was like the NYT praising Trump. She is dead. I am alive and today I get praise for my handwriting, too, but it has nothing to do with her teaching.

I don't understand this because I thought initiatives like NCLB and Common Core were supposed to set federal standards. What were those idiots acting like clowns and getting arrested for 10 years ago, if state gov't can still avoid the standards. I didn't look for an article from a real newspaper, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is some truth to this Blaze article.

I think this is so important b/c people are debating if the gov't should pay for college and forgive student loans, instead of improving high-school standards.
