How did the United States run out of oil?

A lot of folks wonder how we ran out of oil.
Well the answer is very simple.
Nobody bothered to check it.
We just didn’t know we were getting low.
The answer is purely geographical.
We have oil in.......
Alaska
California
Texas
Oklahoma
Kansas
Louisiana
New Mexico
Wyoming
North Dakota
Colorado
The Gulf of Mexico
Pennsylvania
The problem is that the dipstick is in the Whitehouse.
