Boycott Baseball. MLB Shows Their Holier-Than-Thou Hypocrisy Moving Game From Atlanta to Buy-dem-ville, Yet MLB Has Training Camps in Communist China.

Excerpt:
"Abrams's response is just the tip of the iceberg of the hypocrisy and contradictions seen from this MLB maneuver — stiffing black-owned American small businesses just emerging from a pandemic to protest a U.S. law they are perfectly free to campaign for to change otherwise through elections, or else playing the ball game without politics and drawing a big audience. Which is it for them? And by the way, how many of their baseball players are American citizens?

Unlike Abrams, they chose, and chose poorly, because what they chose will probably have some consequences for the MLB organization, given its nuclear level of hypocrisy.

Here's another piece of hypocrisy: will MLB now move its All-Star Game to Delaware, Joe Biden's home state, where, unlike Georgia now, there is no early voting at all? Will they stop advertising and selling merchandise in that state? Or New York, or New Jersey, which also don't have early voting as they now do in Georgia? These MLB virtue-signalers would be hypocrites if they didn't.

Here's the big one: MLB made a big deal about its move out of Georgia being a human rights issue, and them being all concerned about human rights, you see.

Can they explain for us why they recently held a ball game in brutal totalitarian military dictatorship of Cuba? A place Cuban ball players flee from to freedom, which in some cases includes MLB salaries made possible only by living in a free, democratic society that exists already? They aren't fleeing to a hellhole, which is what MLB is now claiming about Georgia.

Can they explain to us why they hold a training camp in China, home of the Uighur slave-labor laogai and the broken-treaty de-democratization of Hong Kong? You'd think an organization that concerned about voting rights that willing to disrupt its own business and make itself politically unpopular in Georgia in the interest of virtue-signaling on voting might just take an interest in voting and transparency practices over in communist China.

These things to them are fine, but Georgia is an affront to their delicate democratic sensibilities."

Major League Baseball had extended and expanded its contract with a Chinese telecommunications giant shortly before boycotting the state of Georgia over the league’s disagreement with the election reforms recently enacted by the Peach State’s democratically elected governor and legislature.

Chinese state media reported on April 1 that the MLB will continue to be aired on the streaming platform operated by Chinese tech giant Tencent, which has significant ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Tencent is of the Chinese companies that had temporarily dropped NBA games as a form of censorship after former Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey spoke out in support of the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.

On April 2, the day after the announcement of the Chinese deal, the MLB moved its annual All-Star game out of Atlanta, Georgia, in response to a set of election reforms signed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp last month. MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred said in a statement that the move would “demonstrate our values as a sport.”

    Hypocritical treasonous scum.

I was a die hard Packer fan since the 80s. But after the disrespect to the flag and veterans, I dropped football all together. We the fans need to be resolute in making it clear that sports are for entertainment and not political peddling. If MLB want's to go political, to hell with them. For me and millions like me, we could do without MLB, NFL, NBA and other multi-million dollars paycheck sports. College and local sports can be just as entertaining playing the same sports. And those athletes do it for the joy of playing.

Baseball is barely a sport at all. Big fat guys who don't sweat calling themselves "athletes" is an activity, not a sport. It is one notch above golf, bowling, darts and billiards.

Watching baseball is about as exciting as watching pigeons. I'd rather paint your house than watch this crap...for hours. Even the umpires, who could be replaced with cameras/computers (like tennis) are ridiculous. Ask a baseball guy about that and you'll get, "It is part of the game". Manipulation of the rules is part of the game? Crap. The only thing that allows this boring mess to survive is social inertia. If such an activity were started today, it would be ridiculed.

Excellent set of notes, highlighting the hypocrisy. Everything is partisan today, and they've shown that "America's Pastime" is a socialist-totalitarian campaign. Great. Flush the whole thing and get more kids playing something that gets them exercise, like soccer; that you can play for exercise until you are old, unlike softball, which is a fat guy, glory-days, drinking game.

    Nice post (as always) FFA!

At least it requires more skills than just height (basketboring) or mass (footboring.) OTOH, drugs have been used to replace the skill, and those so-called record-holders are still being 'honored' ... that is, they have been proven to use performance enhancing drugs, but their 'awards' have not been retracted and given to naturally-skilled players.

Me a type 2 diabetic dino, me be weaning myself off my favorite sugar free soft drink, Coke Zero.
Saw that wimpy woke Coke joke for a CEO mealy mouthing Georgia on TV a couple of days back. Who elected that, oh, so superior little prig to anything? Hollywood?
Researching diet drinks and club sodas. Diet Sprite is out for being made by Coke. Used to mix made by Coke sugar free Frescas with vodka at Bama tailgate parties until my feet got too messed up to go to games, but I haven't seen that product on grocery shelves for months now. Just as well.
Like Diet Dr. Pepper. Haven't had a Diet 7Up for years. Open to suggestions.

I was an insulin junkie for a while and noted that small amounts of fruit juice added to water (seltzer without salt or soda water with) did a great job of superseding formal carbonated phosphoric acid concoctions and other extravagant media-hyped poisons.

I started a few years ago with flavored/unsweetened fizzy water with 2 drops of concentrated liquid Sucralose. Lately, though I've noticed that the sweet flavor gets in the way ...so I've quit the sweetener and only do flavored, unsweetened fizzy water. It's actually not too bad!

The only Coke product I need to be concerned about is Dasani water because we gave up all sorts of coke-y things years ago when hubby noticed that the dark-colored cola-type drinks exacerbated his restless leg syndrome.

Sometimes I get a little tired of all the "healthy stuff" we learn because acting on it sure does restrict the diet!

store brand unsweetened tea, if you can stand Walmart, cheapest I've found. Other similar options
should exist if Walmart is as stressful for you as it is for me.

Somehow me dino has managed to cut down Walmart visits from once a month to an average of four times a year. As gross as it may sound, my stomach feels better if something carbonated can help me burp after lunch and dinner.
Served with meals at home, I'm a regular drinker of Arizona Diet Green Tea With Ginseng most often flavored with squeezed lemon juice. I buy it at Publix. Recall buying it at Walmart. There's a geisha girl on the label.

    MLB...NFL...NASCAR....are FF's (former favorites).
No wonder I am spending more time on this computer rather than in front of the tv.
Actually, didn't watch a lot of baseball. A bit too slow. Basketball does not interest me at all.

I now have better things to do than to watch baseball. I hope the huge socialist-sympathetic outfits pay their players for the remainder of their contracts, but I'm sure they'll find a way to weasel out of it. To fix it we have to boycott it.

In solidarity with Georgia's action to make their voters prove their identity to vote:

"Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he declined to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Texas Rangers’ home opening game because of Major League Baseball’s decision to move the All-Star Game from Atlanta in response to Georgia’s sweeping new voting laws.

Abbott thanked Neil Leibman, MLB’s chief operating officer, for the invitation.

“I was looking forward—until Major League Baseball adopted what has turned out to be a false narrative about the election law reforms in Georgia, and, based on that false narrative, moved the MLB All-Star Game from Atlanta,” he wrote in a letter.

“It is shameful that America’s pastime is not only being influenced by partisan political politics, but also perpetuating false political narratives.”

Texas won’t seek to host any MLB special events and Abbott is forgoing all future participation in league events."

My father wasn't a 'Pro' but he was a notable Amateur. He was a Marshall for the Ryder Cup and Houston Putting Champion. They put his name in a hat for the Pro's to draw from for the Pro-Am in Houston.

Wooee! Good thing my daddy isn't with us anymore. He would be tearing into people for tampering with the Masters tournament. Are they really moving it too?
