It’s like a live action role play of “Shrugged”.
Railroads become a target of regulators.
How much longer until Order 10-289 is issued?

It's not just those two. The shutdowns hugely benefited Walmart and Amazon at the expense of smaller competitors, and put maybe 1/4 of restaurants out of business -- a number that will go up because of increased minimum wages, and proposed vaccine passport requirements.

All these problems will eventually be overcome but not without loss and upheaval. Because wages are "sticky downwards," there will now be at least a decade or two of 5%+ inflation, maybe 10%+, to get real wages back to normal levels; while the vaccine demands are already producing borderline civil unrest in France and Italy, and I hope here too if attempted.

Karma? Executive order kills the pipeline so the oil has to be transported by rail to thank Buffet et al for big donations and then slap rail? WTH! Did the administration not think of that when it issued the order? Duh-oh!

“ The Biden administration’s July 9 executive order, which aims to limit the dominance of large corporations, dovetails with efforts already underway at the STB. “

Funny that the administration is concerned about “monopolies” except when it comes to Big Tech. Which is either the New 4th Branch of Government or the New Third Rail of politics. Depending on the prevailing winds on any given day.
