Frighteningly people are less cautious about their bodies than they are with their vehicles. Tell me if this isn't true today?

Nice comparison, AJA! Unfortunately, government experts have also made our motor vehicles twice as expensive by mandating 'features" that most don't want or need.
Eric Peters has a recent article on that. https://www.ericpetersautos.com/2021/...

My first new car was a Ford Pinto, bought when in the Army and it seemed to go forever on a tank of gas but generally, we never worried about mileage...gas what cheap, Don't remember what my 61 Ford Starliner got. Hell, my Datsun 240Z got 25mpg (Peanut man's gas crisis), and I never drove it Under 100mph!...ah, the good ole days...(I made up the difference in speeding tickets, though).

I had a 240Z as well. Sadly the body was made out of crushed beer cans and the Michigan winters rusted it out but it sure was fun to drive.

I had 4 of them over the years. All 1972s. One of them was my race car. Raced at Lime Rock...That's the one that got me in a lot of Trouble when I drove it on the street.

Was eying one on the interweb, a calif car that had been garaged...looked really good and the price was close to the original selling price...my old women was not enthused.
She's right though, we have not recovered enough since 2009 to get another old car and who knows what is going to happen in our country.
But I do need to get a pre-computer Truck or something as a bugout vehicle.

    From the WAY-BACK MACHINE

The best way to get better fuel economy and horsepower was to BLUEPRINT and BALANCE the engine.

With today's available technology, they should come off the line that way..

So, short note to government in the US:

The US Constitution LIMITS GOVERNMENT to SPECIFIC AREAS of Life in America through the ENUMERATED POWERS LISTED in the Constitution.

ANY, ...AND EVERY 'law' that rolls down your assembly line that DOES NOT HAVE a 'manufacturer Label stating PRECISELY WHICH ENUMERATED POWER the law is AUTHORIZED is AUTOMATICALLY NULL AND VOID!

ANY VOTE to Pass an Unconstitutional Law should be treated as USURPATION OF POWERS OF THE PEOPLE to the level of TREASON!
