Well organized quick point. If the wall was keeping the authoritarians contained and preventing their mischief I would be all for it. It's real purpose is to ensure their behavior is protected and those outside of the wall are plundered. That the wall exists is a declaration that the people are not free.

Ironically, one of the most liberal Democrats, Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, said pretty much the same thing. She said that only a totalitarian dictatorship needs walls and guns to keep its people away. She further said that the Jan 6 incident had been blown out of all rational proportion, and that the DC walls need to come down, and the NG sent home.

One can only hope that more Democrats stll have a grasp on sanity, and will work with Republicans to put a leash on this out of control administration. Senators Joe Manchin and Kirsten Sinema are gaining power from their resistance, and could represent a return to sanity for the party.
