It has to do with willpower. Everyone is at risk of sinking into the abyss if they choose to use drugs or alcohol. I have had several friends and family who have died from booze. I also have the same who have overcome the addiction. The addiction aspect is a multiple pronged issue. The culture of gangsta wrap , promotes illicit behavior. The movies and TV promote that lifestyle as an aspiration. The family value system is being shattered. The start ,of which as you know was by the Qreat state of Texas native Lyndon Johnson’s New Deal and socialism .From that they destroy a person responsibility. It leads to a Victimization mentality that brainwashing the masses.
Simply put it is all designed to create chaos. Out of chaos comes control. The value system created for a large swath of society does not include self discipline. Their world is upside down . BAD is good and good is BAD. Learning to use your God given talents or just talents (for our atheist objectivists). In fact I wish he would have been shot and killed when he broke in and put a gun to a pregnant women’s belly as he waved his other POS friends in to rob and abuse her. In fact why was he ever let out after being a multiple felon prior to that attack?
